1. Information we collect
Account information can include your user ID, email address, display name, avatar, sign-in provider, account dates, and sign-in activity. Google supplies sign-in information through Supabase when you choose Google sign-in.
Service records can include your credit balance, immutable credit ledger, payments, virtual share positions, trade quotes and executions, product submissions, administrative actions, support messages, and feature use.
Technical information can include your IP address, browser and device details, pages viewed, referring page, approximate location derived from network information, timestamps, error logs, and security events. When you submit or visit a listed product, we can record the submitted URL or outbound click.
2. How we use information
We use information to authenticate users, operate wallets and virtual markets, process payments, show portfolios and rankings, publish product listings, measure traffic, provide support, prevent abuse, investigate errors, keep financial records accurate, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.
We can also use aggregate or de-identified information to understand and improve MarketRank. We do not use automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Analytics and visitor metrics
MarketRank loads DataFast analytics on public pages to measure visits and site use. DataFast can receive technical and usage information under its own privacy terms.
We also place a random, HTTP-only visitor-session cookie and send a short heartbeat to MarketRank. This lets us show current and 24-hour visitor counts while preventing page scripts from reading or choosing the identifier. The ID is not your MarketRank account ID and is not intended to identify you by name. You can clear it by clearing cookies for MarketRank in your browser.
5. Retention
We keep account and service records for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the Service. Financial ledger, payment, trade, fraud-prevention, audit, legal, and backup records can be kept longer because they protect users and preserve transaction accuracy.
Retention periods depend on the type of record, legal duties, security needs, dispute risk, and whether the information can be deleted or de-identified without harming the integrity of other users’ records.
6. Your choices and rights
You can review account and billing information in Settings, sign out, clear browser storage, and control analytics through available browser or blocking tools. You can request access, correction, deletion, or account closure by contacting us. Some records cannot be deleted immediately when they are required for transaction integrity, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or another person’s rights.
Your location can give you additional privacy rights, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or receive a copy of personal information. Contact us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.
7. Security
We use access controls, encrypted network connections, database policies, server-side financial functions, audit records, and other reasonable safeguards. No Internet service is completely secure. Report suspected account or security issues promptly.
8. Children
MarketRank is for people who are at least 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person below that age. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
We can update this policy when our Service, providers, or legal duties change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material.
